Emproof to Showcase Embedded Software Security at Embedded World North America 2024 and Participate in escar Europe 2024

Emproof will attend Embedded World North America from 8 – 10 October 2024, in Austin, Texas. Known as a hub for the embedded community, this event will feature innovative technologies and solutions.

In 2023, at Embedded World in Nuremberg, Emproof Nyx took home the prestigious Embedded Award for software innovation. This year, we’re excited to once again showcase Emproof Nyx with a live demo at our booth. Attendees will have the opportunity to see how malicious hackers analyse software and discover firsthand how Emproof Nyx can safeguard your products from vulnerabilities, protecting your source code against exploitation and intellectual property theft.

In addition, join us for a presentation by Nils Albartus, our Technical Marketing Manager and Embedded Security Expert, on 9 October 9 at 11am in Ballroom C, where he’ll discuss the threats of reverse engineering and how Emproof is shaping the embedded security landscape.

Emproof will also participate in escar Europe on 19 – 20 November 2024, hosting Workshop 3: Introduction to Software and Hardware Reverse Engineering, refereed by: Dr. Tim Blazytko (Emproof), Dr. Marc Fyrbiak (Emproof) and Prof. Christof Paar (Max Planck Institute for Security and Privacy).

This workshop will cover:

• An overview of state-of-the-art hardware reverse engineering methods, including firmware extraction.
• An introduction to software reverse engineering and state-of-the-art tools.
• Hands-on part: Attendees will apply different reverse engineering techniques, to example embedded firmware, extracting hardcoded user credentials to gain understanding of reverse engineering principles.
• An outlook on advanced software protections.
